A reflection on organizing and leading Code Africa 2.0 Hackathon, showcasing how builders create value through Web3 and AI solutions that solve real problems.
I'm Chris — founder of Minisend and a Web3 fullstack engineer focused on shipping real-world onchain products on Base. Minisend is a cross-chain stablecoin settlement layer for Africa: deposit USDC or USDT from 26 EVM chains and settle to KES, NGN, or GHS within minutes via M-Pesa or bank transfer. It now serves 1,000+ users across Kenya, Nigeria, and Ghana, with $200,000+ in volume and 3,000+ cross-chain transactions. Previously DevRel for East Africa at Coinbase and a Base Ambassador, where I drove developer adoption across the region through hands-on programs, workshops, and live builds with local builders.
